The U-18 Jr. Blues 7s team has announced a number of key dates to mark down in your calendars.
May 26th
Tryout, Markham (Markham Rugby Club) – 2pm to 5pm
Please pre-register for the tryouts by filling out a tryout form, which can be downloaded here, and email it to team manager/assistant coach Paul Douros (pauldouros@sympatico.ca). The deadline to pre-register is May 24th. If possible, please bring a headshot photograph. There will also be a one-time $20 tryout fee.
June 2nd
Callback/Secondary Tryout, Markham (Markham Rugby Club) – 10am to 12pm
There will be no additional tryout fee.
Roster will be announced within the week following June 2nd.
June 8th
Training Session, Kingston (Royal Military College) – 10am
June 14th
Training Session, Burlington (Burlington Rugby Club) – time TBA
June 29th
Training Session, Markham (Fletcher’s Fields) – 10am to 12pm, with a U-18 7s fundraiser in the afternoon and evening
July 6th
Training Session, Kingston – time, exact location TBA
July 10th-14th
Victoria International Youth 7s Tournament
*At some point after the training sessions begin, the travelling squad and non-travelling reserves will be named. The expectation is that the non-travelling reserves will continue attending each training session, to ensure that are prepared for a call-up, if required.
