The Marshall League is composed of 16 teams in 2013, and is broken down into two divisions: the Premier division and the Provincial division.
The Premier division includes the Top-8 clubs in Ontario, based on the results of the 2012 league. These clubs are: Ajax, Aurora, Balmy Beach, Markham, Oakville, Stoney Creek, Toronto Scottish, and Waterloo County.
The Provincial division is made up: Barrie, Brampton, Brantford, Hamilton, London, Oshawa, Peterborough, and Sarnia.
Each club in both divisions will be club-on-club (two teams) in the 2013 season. Clubs will have the option of running a 3rds team either playing in Branch leagues or playing exhibition games against other 3rds teams.
At the end of the season, the 8th-place team in the Premier division will be relegated to the Provincial division, with the winner of the Provincial division being promoted to the Premier division.
The 8th-place team of the Provincial division will participate in the Men’s Intermediate Cup against the top teams from the Branch leagues for a chance to retain a position in the Provincial division in 2014.
