Toronto Scottish Womens Head Coach
The Toronto Scottish Rugby Club is currently seeking applications for the position of Women’s Head Coach for the 2012 season.
The Toronto Scottish Rugby Club is a member of the Ontario Rugby Union and is based in mid-town Toronto. The club runs a Women’s Division 1 and 2 as well as a junior U-18 side.
The Women’s Division 1 are the current Ontario Women’s League and Cup and have held that title for the last four years. The Division 2 team have had equal success in League and have won or placed 2nd for the last two years. The Toronto Scottish women's side has gone on to produce numerous players that have gone on to play for Provincial and National Senior Women’s Teams and want to continue to produce representative players. The Women's Head Coach's responsibilities are:
* To take overall responsibility for the management and coaching of the Senior Women’s rugby teams including travelling with teams on match days (Saturdays May to August excluding long weekends)
* To prepare and deliver all coaching sessions (Tuesdays and Thursday evenings April to August)
* To support both women’s sides and their development/goals
Ideal Candidates should:
- Have Level 2 coaching certification or equivalent- 5 years combined playing/coaching experience, 10+ years
preferred
- Have sound technical knowledge
- Be experienced in working with elite athletes
- Be extremely motivated and well organized
- Possess excellent communication skills- previous experience coaching women would be an asset but is not necessary
